DATA CARRIER CARD

PURPOSE: Disclosed is a data carrier card having a card base structure with a recess which can enable to simple assembly of the data carrier card. CONSTITUTION: A recess (4) in which at least one chip (1) is provided can be closed by a cover (5) which is connected to the card base structure (2) via a flexible area (6) in such a manner that it can be pivoted before closure by a flexible area (6) in relation to the card base structure (2). The flexible region (6) and the cover (5) can either be constructed in one piece with the card base structure (2), or the flexible area (6) can also be part of a label (7). The simple assembly of the data carrier card is advantageous.
