PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical character reader capable of easily and quickly recognizing a correction check position on a book of a tagged document as an output object. SOLUTION: From an XML document file stored in an XML document file storage part 23, a processing control part 12 acquires an XML document with predetermined rows while aiming at a character string designated by a cursor 105 on an XML document editor screen 102 to display the XML document editor screen 102 accompanying the XML document on the right half part of an XML document check correction processing screen 101. From an intermediate XML document file stored in an intermediate XML document file storage part 22, coordinate values of the respective rows matching display rows including the designated character string row on the XML document editor screen 102 are acquired. Based on the acquired coordinates, a book image of each of the coordinates is taken out from a book image file storage part 21, and a check part image display screen 103 accompanying the book image is displayed on the left half part of the XML document check correction processing screen 101.
