The device has a lighting ring on which a lighting module (4) is mounted for lighting the ring. The module has a printed circuit (9) in which a light emitting diode and a resistor are mounted. A cover (8) is provided for housing the printed circuit. Two electrical supply tabs (10, 11) of the circuit are mechanically fixed to the cover and are connected to positive terminal and negative terminal of the diode, respectively. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle having a cigar-lighter.
