A control circuit of a microwave oven is provided to minimize consumption of power during stand-by state of the microwave oven. A control circuit of a microwave oven, comprises a transformer(TRANS) designed in accordance with the standard of the microwave oven; and a three-terminal switch(SW) connected to a primary side of the transformer so as to control flow of current. The three-terminal switch operates to minimize consumption of power during stand-by state of the microwave oven. The three-terminal switch includes a first terminal connected to the primary side of the transformer, a second terminal connected to a power supply unit, and a third terminal connected to a micro computer. The first terminal and the third terminal are connected at an operating mode of the microwave oven, and the first terminal and the second terminal are connected at a stand-by mode of the microwave oven.
