<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seismic isolator which maintains smooth rolling of a rolling element by lubrication, and prevents intrusion of foreign matter from the outside. <P>SOLUTION: The seismic isolator is provided with: one large diameter rolling element 4 interposed so as to freely roll between a base plate 2 and a support element 3; and a plurality of small diameter rolling elements 5. A spherical rolling face 6 supporting the plurality of small diameter rolling elements 5 such that they roll along a surface of an upper part of the large diameter rolling element 4 in an arranged state, and a circulation path 7 are provided in the support element 3. In the seismic isolator 1, a gap between the large diameter rolling element 4 and an opening rim of a large diameter rolling element holding recessed part 9b provided in the support element 3 to provide fitting of the large diameter rolling element 4 in a rollable state, is sealed by a solid lubricant 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
