<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus that enables a user to avoid the risk of card data loss when configuring setting for writing to a storage medium irrespective of a connected power supply. <P>SOLUTION: The information processing apparatus has a connection means connectable with a writable storage medium, a data writing means for writing data to the storage medium, a mode setting means for setting an inhibition mode for inhibiting data to be written to the storage medium or an allowance mode for allowing data to be written to the storage medium, a power supply means adapted to a battery and an external power supply as a power supply, a discrimination means for discriminating the state of connection with at least either the battery or the external power supply, and a changing means for changing the procedure and display in setting the inhibition mode or allowance mode in accordance with the connection destination discriminated by the discrimination means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
