A pole change type synchronous electric motor is provided to minimize the damage of a magnet layer in assembling the magnet layer, by decreasing the force applied on the magnet layer for fixing, by locating the magnet layer in the inside of a rotor. In a pole change type synchronous electric motor(100), a stator(110) has a number of teeth(111) wound with a motor coil(112). A rotor(120) rotates from the stator and has an air gap with the tooth, and a number of conductors(122) along the edge adjacently to the circumference. A magnet layer is installed in the conductors along the edge in the rotor, and is made of a magnet to be re-magnetized. An exciting pole(140) faces the magnet layer, and is wound with an excitation coil, and performs magnetization to arrange poles of the magnet layer in turn.
