PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner capable of easily operating a dust removal mechanism on purpose, and operating the mechanism even in a state where a filter is removed from a cleaner body. SOLUTION: The cleaner body is provided with an attachable and detachable filter 51 which is held in a frame body having a dust removal device 71. The dust removal device 71 includes: a vertically movable operation part 72 projected upward from the upper surface of the frame body 55; a vertical movement member 74 which is vertically moved linked with the movement of the operation part 72 and is provided with a groove 75 extending in a substantially horizontal direction; a rotary member 81 to be rotated along the filter 51 provided with a shaft 82 which is projected to the inner part of the groove 75 and moved in the groove 75; and a projection 85 which is projected toward the filter 51 from the rotary member 81 so as to flip the filter 51.
