PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compensate an omission area in an image without depending upon an advanced mathematical equation and at a high speed. SOLUTION: In this filtering type image correction device, a data inputting means 100 inputs an image having an omission area, and a filter selecting part 110 calculates a texture characteristic in an peripheral area of the omission area and selects a filter corresponding to the characteristic. Then, an image correcting means 120 compensates the omission area by using the selected filter at a boundary between the omission area and the peripheral area over a plurality of time while shifting positions, and an image displaying means 130 displays an image corrected image.
