<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the performance of a whole computer system by suppressing a stand-by time until a host computer put in a stop state is put into an available state, while suppressing the power consumption of the whole computer system by shifting a host computer to a stop state. <P>SOLUTION: The method for managing a job to be executed by a host computer and the power source of the host computer, in a computer system including at least one host computer, includes: a step of accepting the job; a step of storing the accepted job; a step of scheduling the execution schedule of the stored job; a step of determining a period when the power source control of the host computer is executed based on the execution schedule of the job; a step of determining the host computer which executes the power source control when the period to execute the determined power source control comes; a step of controlling the power source of the determined host computer; and a step of executing the scheduled job. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
