An organic light emitting diode display and method for driving thereof is provided to improve a problem of image quality due to a driving transistor by converting the level of data voltage into a frame unit. In an organic light emitting diode display, a scan driver(110) generates a control signal of the timing controller in response to the control signal(GDC) of the timing controller(130). The data driver(120) converts the digital video data(RGB) into the analog gamma compensation voltage in response to the control signal(DDC) of the timing controller. An analog gamma compensation voltage is supplied to the data line of organic electroluminescence panel(100) as a data voltage. A timing controller generates the control signal for controlling the scan driver and data driver by using the synchronizing signal and main clock. The data voltage level converter(140) converts the level of the applied data voltage into data driver in order to prevent an after image.
