PURPOSE: An ABS and ASR apparatus for a vehicle is provided to prevent damage to the axle gear due to the excessive increase of engine torque by activating braking only on wheels in which slip has occurred. CONSTITUTION: An ABS and ASR apparatus for a vehicle comprises a PCV(Pressure Control Valve,46), a wheel speed sensor(16), and a pneumatic pressure cut-off unit(70). The PCV controls the braking air pressure of drive wheels(36,38) of more than two axles by being opened in response to electric signals from a brake valve and an ECU(Engine Control Unit) in braking and ASR(Acceleration Slip Regulation) operation and being repetitively opened and closed in response to electric signals from the ECU in an ABS operation. The wheel speed sensor is installed a part of the drive wheels. The pneumatic pressure cut-off unit with a solenoid valve provides braking pneumatic pressure for the drive wheels of the axles in which no wheel speed sensor is installed in the braking and ABS(Anti-Lock Brake System) operation, and cuts off the supply of the braking pneumatic pressure in the ASR operation. |
