The present disclosure sets forth multiple embodiments of the invention. Among those embodiments is a method of determining a maximum power reduction of a wireless terminal. The method comprises determining whether a frequency span of the n-th order convolution of the power spectral density of the uplink signal overlaps with a spurious region, if it is determined that a frequency span of the n-th order convolution of the power spectral density of the uplink signal overlaps with the spurious region, determining a maximum power reduction using a first map, and if it is determined that a frequency span of the n-th order convolution of the power spectral density of the uplink signal does not overlap with the spurious region, determining a maximum power reduction using a second map.
