The invention relates to an optical connector device (10) for outside installation, comprising a ferrule-fibre assembly (1) and a support on the rear part of the optical connector (10) with a groove for anchoring the ferrule-fibre assembly (1) with the rest of the components: a reinforced connector assembly (3) for providing environmental protection for the ferrule-fibre assembly (1), a splice band (4) for sealing the reinforced connector assembly (3), and a boot of the connector (5) over the splice band (4) and the reinforced connector assembly (3), for closing the optical connector (10) and protecting same from side loads. The inner diameter of the reinforced connector assembly (3), the splice band (4) and the boot of the connector (5) is such that the optical fibre cable (11) can pass therethrough without scratching the cover thereof. |
