PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve timing adjustment device that enables improvement of responsiveness of a phase change of a driven shaft to a driving shaft while shortening time required for attachment of a housing and a vane rotor.SOLUTION: An abutment member 41 and a leaf spring 46 are provided between a housing 11 rotatable together with a crank shaft of an engine and a vane rotor 22 for partitioning inside of the housing 11 into a timing advance chamber and a timing delay chamber. The abutment member 41 abuts on an inner wall 114 of a cylinder portion 111 and an inner wall 115 of a bottom portion 112 of the housing 11. The leaf spring 46 is formed of a heat resistant material separately from the abutment member 41, and energizes the abutment member 41 so that the abutment member 41 abuts on the inner wall 114 of the cylinder portion 111 and the inner wall 115 of the bottom portion 112. The leaf spring 46 includes recesses 473, 483 engageable with projections 424, 434 of the abutment member 41.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
