PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a heat-conductive resin composition excellent in heat-conductive properties, and a heat-conductive resin composition produced by the method.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for producing a heat-conductive resin composition at least comprising: a step where inorganic particle slurry containing inorganic particles and heat-conductive filler slurry containing a heat-conductive filler are mixed to produce mixed slurry; a step where the mixed slurry is sprayed and dried using a spray drier method to form a granule body made of the inorganic particles and the heat-conductive filler; a step where the granule body is fired to produce heat-conductive particles made of the inorganic particles and the heat-conductive filler; and a step where the heat-conductive particles and a resin are mixed, and, in the step of producing the mixed slurry, the blending amount of the heat-conductive filler in the mixed slurry is 0.5-5 pts.mass to 100 pts.mass of the inorganic particles, and, in the step of producing the heat-conductive particles, the granule body is fired at 800°C or higher.SELECTED DRAWING: None
