PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide aqueous gel cosmetics containing astaxanthin in which locally generating concentration change part of gel cosmetics with passage of time is inhibited.SOLUTION: An aqueous gel cosmetic contains, to the total amount of the cosmetic, 1-100 ppm of astaxanthin, 1-10 mass% of trimethylglycine, and 0.5-5 mass% of a compound represented by general formula (1), wherein the total content of the element selected from Na and K to the total amount of the cosmetic is 0.05 mass% or more.
