Rotating ring used for machining profiles

The unit (10) has a swivel head (12) i.e. circular ring, rotatable around a rotational axis (32), and a machining tool i.e. saw device (20), arranged at the swivel head. A workpiece support for a profile to be machined is provided in a region of the swivel head. The machining tool includes a saw blade (22) supported at a saw head (24) i.e. longitudinal arm, which is pivotable around a pivot axis relative to the swivel head. The pivot axis is arranged perpendicular to the rotational axis during saw processing. The saw blade is pivotable about 360 degrees relative to the workpiece support. The machining tool is formed as a drilling device and a milling device. An independent claim is also included for a method for machining profiles.
