PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent erroneous determination of an ECU in failure of brake detection means, and to control an automatic transmission according to driver's intension.SOLUTION: A control device 10 has climbing angle update determination means 74, gradient estimation means 76, deceleration determination means 78, and climbing angle estimation means 80. The deceleration determination means 78 determines that a vehicle 12 is in a decelerating state when a throttle opening is a threshold value TH or less. The climbing angle update determination means 74 inhibits an update processing to an increase direction of an estimated climbing angle θ by the climbing angle estimation means 80 when the gradient estimation means 76 estimates up-hill grade, and the deceleration determination means 78 determines the decelerating state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
