PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device that can operate stably even if a transistor is a depletion type.SOLUTION: A semiconductor device according to an embodiment of the invention comprises: a first transistor having a function to supply a first electric potential to a first wiring; a second transistor having a function to supply a second electric potential to the first wiring; a third transistor having a function to supply a third electric potential to a gate of the first transistor for turning on the first transistor and then stop the supply of the third electric potential; a fourth transistor having a function to supply the second electric potential to the gate of the first transistor; and a first circuit having a function to generate a second signal which is obtained by adding an offset to a first signal. The second signal is inputted to a gate of the fourth transistor, and the minimum value of the second signal is less than the second electric potential.
