PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow radio authentication to be performed without placing a heavy setting burden on a user even if an authentication object is outside of a building.SOLUTION: An authentication system in an embodiment comprises: a power generator that changes its state on the basis of a command transmitted by radio communication or gives notice of its state by radio communication; a breaker that is connected with a system power source directly or indirectly, and receives power output by the power generator to output it to the system power source; and a communication device that communicates with the power generator by radio and monitors the state of the breaker. The communication device distinguishes an authentication object power generator on the basis of timing the state of the power generator changes and timing the state of the breaker changes.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
