PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a static charge device that prevents abnormal discharge of the discharge electrode due to residual foreign substance by removing the foreign substance remaining in the case surrounding the discharge electrode and performs normally the electrification of the object, and further improves the durability of the charged body. SOLUTION: An air stream generation device 100 for removing the residual foreign substance remaining in the charge case 22 swept by the cleaning member 23 from the discharge wire 21, is provided. This air stream generation device generates an air stream in which air stream generated from the fan 101 is blown into the duct 102 through the slit 104 and blown uniformly to all the area in the discharge wire axis direction by a fin 102a inside the duct 102. Thereby the residual foreign substance such as silicon oxide (SiO2) remaining in the charge case of the corona charge device is discharged outside together with air stream from the exit opened toward the sensitized body 10 of the charge case.
