PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dredging device capable of being efficiently dredged by simple work and also dredging sludge. SOLUTION: The dredging device is so constituted that a suction pipe 5 for sucking sediments 3 accumulated on the bottom is provided on a barge 4 carrying out dredging for rivers 2, lakes and marshes, etc., a flat plate 8 covering the surface 7 of the sediments 3 is provided on a suction inlet 6 of the front end of the suction pipe 5 and that the sediments 3 on the lower surface side of the flat plate 8 is sucked to dredge while moving the barge 4.
