PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outboard engine control device capable of suppressing cavitation as much as possible even if a ship is trimmed up during acceleration and preventing degradation in acceleration performance.SOLUTION: An outboard engine control device including an internal combustion engine; and a trim-angle adjustment mechanism that can adjust a trim angle relative to a hull, comprises: throttle-opening change amount calculation means (S110) for calculating a change amount of a throttle opening of the internal combustion engine; acceleration-state determination means (S110) for determining whether the hull is in an acceleration state on the basis of the calculated change amount of the throttle opening; engine-rotational-speed detection means (S118) for detecting an engine rotational speed of the internal combustion engine; engine-rotational-speed change amount calculation means (S118) for calculating a change amount of the detected engine rotational speed; and trim-angle control means (S108, S118, and S122) for controlling the trim-angle adjustment mechanism to operate so as to increase the trim angle on the basis of the calculated change amount of the engine rotational speed if the acceleration-state determination means determines that the hull is in the acceleration state. |
