PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the spoiling of expectation of a user due to the release of trick play or the change of a piece to be played even when the user deletes a file in the middle of reproduction in the case of the trick play, and to provide a means which is convenient for the user to judge whether to delete a piece after listening to the piece to the last. SOLUTION: The reproducing device which carries out reproduction based on the deletable file recorded on a recording medium is provided with a trick play continuation setting means for accepting the setting of whether to continue the trick play when deletion of the file in the middle of reproduction is instructed or the file is deleted based on the instruction by the trick play. Moreover, the reproduction device is provided with a deletion reservation setting means for accepting the setting of whether to delete the file when the deletion is instructed or when the reproduction of the file is finished.
