<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image display apparatus and a photographing apparatus which maximally secure a display area of image and which can display an operation switch for input of operation instructions. <P>SOLUTION: An operation switch display switch (an operation part 56) is provided to be used in order to display/not to display an operation switch on an LCD (liquid crystal display) 38. When a photographing image is displayed on the whole area of the display area of the LCD 38, and the operation switch display switch is operated in order to display an operation switch on the LCD 38; the image being displayed is reduced and the LCD 38 is controlled so that the operation switch is displayed in a free space produced in the display area by the reduction. When the photographing image and the operation switch are displayed individually on the LCD 38 by the displaying means and the operation switch display switch (the operation part 56) is operated so that the operation switch is not displayed, the LCD 38 is controlled through an LCD interface 36 so that the operation switch being displayed is eliminated, the free space produced in the display area by the elimination is also used for display, and as a result, the photographing image being displayed is enlarged and displayed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
