PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily mount and dismount a drain pan in maintenance work such as maintenance, checking, cleaning and the like of the drain pan by providing a grip means on a lower surface of a bottom portion of the drain pan, thus workability can be improved. SOLUTION: This air conditioner comprises a main body 1 comprising a suction opening 11 and a blow out opening 12 and mounted at an elevated position of an air-conditioned room, a blower 8 mounted in the main body, and forming a heat exchange air guide passage R by sucking heat exchange air from the suction opening into the main body, and supplying the same from the supply opening in accompany with driving, a heat exchanger 9 placed in the heat exchange air guide passage, and the drain pan 10 mounted at a lower portion of the heat exchanger for loading the heat exchanger, and a grip portion 26 gripped when the drain pan is mounted/dismounted, is mounted on the lower surface of the bottom portion 10e of the drain pan.
