An automatic recognition system of an earphone/speakerphone mode in a wireless mobile terminal using a magnetic sensor is provided to enhance user convenience by automatically detecting an on-hook state of an earphone and to output sound to the outside through the speaker of the terminal. An automatic recognition system of an earphone/speakerphone mode in a wireless mobile terminal includes a terminal body(1), an earphone, a mode select switch(4), and a controller(5). A coupling portion for an earphone receiver is formed on the terminal body. A magnetic sensor is formed inside the coupling portion. The earphone is electrically coupled with the terminal body. A magnetic material is formed in the earphone receiver. When a magnetic force from the earphone receiver is detected, the mode select switch outputs a voice signal through a speaker in the terminal body. When no magnet force is detected, the mode select switch outputs the voice signal through the earphone. The controller receives the signal from the magnetic sensor and controls the mode select switch.
