A shopping trolley (2) which is constructed for use by a person who does not use a private car and who travels with their shopping trolley to and from shops by walking and/or public transport, the shopping trolley (2) being such that it comprises an outer container (4), a handle (6), four wheels (8) positioned one at each of four corner parts (10) of the shopping trolley (2), and a brake (12) for preventing unwanted movement of the shopping trolley (2), the outer container (4) being made of sheet material which is rigid or semi-rigid for durability and security purposes, and which has an outer surface (14) which is designed for being wiped clean for aesthetic purposes. The trolley may further include sub-compartments, a lockable lid, internal or external illumination, an overload warning device, and/or an electronic entertainment of communications device. |
