PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To register a task in consideration of changes in function configuration of a device. SOLUTION: A network management apparatus executes a registered task at a specified time on the device connected thereto via a network. The apparatus includes: determination steps (S1111 to S1113) of determining whether the registered task accompanied by a change in functions related to execution of a new task on the device exists; and registration steps (S1115, S1116, S1118, and S1119) of specifying a time when new tasks can be executed, to accept registration of new tasks to be executed at the specified time and not to accept registration of new tasks to be executed at the time other than the specified time.
