An antiglare film that, disposed on a front face for use in chiefly a display, such as LCD, CRT or PDP, prevents the reflection of external light and that reduces the proportion of reactive inorganic microparticles leached or detached into an alkali solution by saponification, excelling in saponification resistance. The antiglare film has, superimposed on a transparent base material film, an antiglare layer provided at its outermost surface with uneven configuration. The antiglare layer comprises at least an uneven layer resulting from hardening of a hardening resin composition containing translucent microparticles (A) of 1 to 10μm average particle diameter, reactive inorganic microparticles (B) of 30 to 100 nm average particle diameter provided on its surface with a reactive functional group (b) and a binder component (C) having a reactive functional group (c) having crosslinking reactivity with the reactive functional group (b). The antiglare layer has a skin layer with a reduced number of reactive inorganic microparticles (B) at an interface opposite to the transparent base material film or its vicinity and has an area where the microparticles (B) are uniformly present on the side closer to the transparent base material film than the skin layer.
|
