<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a more highly active hyaluronidase activity inhibitor than conventional inhibitors, and to provide an external preparation for skin, having effects such as not only a dry skin-improving effect (moisture-retaining effect) and a chapped skin-improving effect, but also a skin tension-improving effect and a skin gloss-improving effect, which have not been obtained by conventional hyaluronidase activity inhibitors. <P>SOLUTION: The hyaluronidase activity inhibitor includes a Carex humilis extract as an active ingredient.
