A strain sensor relating to the present invention is provided with two locking sections, and a holding member that is provided between the two locking sections. The two locking sections are provided on an optical fiber at a predetermined interval. The holding member is provided with an elastic section that applies a pressing force to the optical fiber in the direction in which the two locking sections are separated from each other, said holding member holding the optical fiber. Furthermore, the holding member is removed from the optical fiber after the optical fiber is fixed to a subject to be measured. In the strain sensor, the holding member in a state wherein the holding member is holding the optical fiber is disposed on the subject to be measured, and in a state wherein a tensile force is applied to the optical fiber by the elastic section of the holding member, the optical fiber is fixed to the subject to be measured. |
