PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting element package and a backlight unit, capable of being used for a display application or an illumination application.SOLUTION: A light emitting element package includes: a substrate 10 including a first electrode 11 formed at one side of an electrode separation line L and a second electrode 12 formed at the other side of the electrode separation line L; a light emitting element 20 including a first pad P1 electrically connected to the first electrode and a second pad P2 electrically connected to the second electrode; a reflection molding member 30 provided on the substrate, having a form in which a front surface is opened so as to induce light generated by the light emitting element toward the front of the light emitting element package, and including a reflection cup part 31 formed therein, the reflection cup part having a form in which an upper portion thereof is opened so as to accommodate the light emitting element therein; an upper lid body 40 formed in a shape corresponding to an upper surface of the reflection molding member so as to cover an opened upper part of the reflection cup part of the reflection molding member; and an interval maintaining part 50 formed at the upper lid body such that a predetermined optical interval between a light guide plate and the light emitting element is maintained, the interval maintaining part being provided to protrude from a front surface of the upper lid body toward the light guide plate such that a front end thereof contacts the light guide plate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
