PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a system that comprises a server and a control device connected with the server via a global network, the control device performing processing by referring to data stored in the server, to cope with a situation in which the control device cannot communicate with the server.SOLUTION: If a POS terminal 10 updates a control device side commodity master 521 stored therein in the state of being unable to communicate with a control server 15, it communicates with another POS terminal 10 via a local network LN, and has the other POS terminal 10 update the control device side commodity master 521.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
