PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner that can suppress aggregation in association with a wax spent, suppress deformation, fracture, and fastening due to development stress, and can achieve chargeability, durability, and offset resistance of toner, while maintaining releasability in a wide temperature range.SOLUTION: There is provided a toner containing at least a binder resin and a mold release agent, wherein the ratio of the area of the mold release agent within 0.3 μm from the surface Wsa to the total area of the mold release agent detected from a transmission electron microscope (TEM) photograph of a torn surface of the toner Wta (Wsa/Wta) is 2 to 5%; when WDa is the number average particle diameter of the mold release agent present in a depth area Aa from the surface of the toner to a depth of 1/4 of the diameter d of the toner (1/4d), and WDb is the number average particle diameter of the mold release agent present in an area Ab deeper inside of Aa, the relationship between WDa and WDb is WDa<WDb; in a micro compression test, the amount of displacement of the toner when a compression of 250 μN is applied is 700 nm or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
