The method involves constructing an image by a conical projection on a projecting plane which is orthogonal to line of sight. The image is delimited laterally. The scale of the delimited image is adapted to make a line segment correspond to the width of the display screen (7). The image is delimited vertically according to the height of the screen. The image representing a synthesis image is displayed on the screen. An independent claim is also included for a device used for constructing a synthesis image of an aircraft environment.
