PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photochromic material improved in light resistance to such an extent that the resistance has been never realized by conventional photochromic materials, improved in a density of color development, capable of giving water resistance, and therefore having such excellent applicability as to be used in all of fields with few restrictions in production. SOLUTION: This photochromic material is formed by dissolving a photochromic compound selected from a spirooxazine derivative and a spiropyran derivative in a styrene-based oligomer having a weight-average molecular weight of 200 to 6,000.
