PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an eco-friendly clear water-dispersed coating material, a chipping resistant coating material dryable at normal temperature to save energy consumption, getting sufficient chipping resistance and fully developing the color of a substrate by applying the clear coating material to a sufficient thickness and provide a chipping resistant coating film. SOLUTION: The chipping resistant coating material is produced by mixing 100 pts. wt. of a urethane dispersion as a water-dispersed resin A with 10 pts. wt. of a polyisocyanate compound having a nonionic hydrophilic group as a water-dispersible isocyanate B and 1 pt. wt. of a urethane-modified polyether compound as a thickener C. A chipping resistant clear coating film dryable at normal temperature to save energy consumption, applicable to a thickness of about 500μm and having excellent top-coating adhesiveness, chipping resistance and water whitening resistance can be produced by setting the average number of the functional groups of the isocyanate B to≥2.5 and the number of side chain methylene units to≥5.
