The invention relates to a tyre which is intended for a two-wheeled motor vehicle and, more specifically, a motorcycle. One such tyre consists of a carcass-type reinforcing structure (2) comprising reinforcing elements, which is anchored on either side of the tyre to a bead (3), the base of which is intended to be mounted to a rim seat. Each bead extends radially outwards through a sidewall (4) and said sidewalls are assembled radially outwards to a running tread (5). Moreover, a crown reinforcing structure is disposed beneath the running tread, comprising at least one layer of reinforcing elements, known as the working layer. According to the invention, the crown reinforcing structure also comprises a layer of circumferential reinforcing elements (8), which is disposed radially outside the carcass-type reinforcing structure (2). Moreover, along the profile of the tyre in a radial plane, in the part thereof that is radially outside the two points of tangency of the curvilinear abscissa of the carcass-type reinforcing structure with perpendiculars (100, 101) to the axis of rotation, at least one layer (6, 7) of working reinforcing elements is at least partially-radially inside the part of the carcass-type reinforcing structure (2) that is radially outside the two points of tangency of the curvilinear abscissa of the carcass-type reinforcing structure with perpendiculars to the axis of rotation. |
