PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for connecting ribbon-like strips together, which enables tension resistance necessary for the molding and vulcanization of a raw tire to be still sufficiently imparted to the ribbon-like strips, even if a thickness step is removed from a connected part between the two ribbon-like strips. SOLUTION: End surfaces 3a and 5a of the respective ribbon-like strips 3 and 5, which keep four untwisted and combined cords 1 coated with an unvulcanized rubber 2, butt against each other via an unvulcanized rubber, and the periphery of a butt part is wrapped in the unvulcanized rubber sheet 4, which is vulcanized and bonded to each of the coating rubber 2 of the ribbon-like strips 3 and 5, and the unvulcanized rubber between the end surfaces under pressure.
