PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that a handle falls down when a hand is released from the handle and it is because that the handle is freely movable to the front, back, left and right but a mop base and the handle can not be kept in a vertical state in a conventional holder for a mop with the handle. SOLUTION: A spring 2 is provided on the root of the mop base 3 and the mop handle 1, an outer spring 6 is placed at the root of the mop base 3 and the mop handle 1 further, and a screw 4 for fixing the outer spring 6 to the mop base 3 is provided. Thus, the handle 1 is freely movable to the front, back, left and right by the extension and contraction of the end spring 2 of the handle 1 and the outer spring 6, and the handle 1 is prevented from falling down by the tension of the end spring 2 of the handle 1 and the outer spring 6 even when a hand is released from the handle 1.
