PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball mounting method capable of restraining an occurrence of an excessive ball phenomenon in a suction head. SOLUTION: A ball mounting device comprises the suction head formed with a plurality of suction holes for sucking one ball, respectively, and a receiving container for receiving a plurality of balls before they are not sucked to the plurality of suction holes, In the ball mounting method, the plurality of balls sucked to the plurality of suction holes are mounted onto a board by using the ball mounting device. The ball mounting method comprises a gas jetting step S4 of jetting a gas toward the plurality of balls in the receiving container, and a suction step S5 of attracting the plurality of balls to the plurality of suction holes after the gas jetting step S4.
