METHOD FOR PRODUCING ANISOTROPIC FILM, ANISOTROPIC FILM AND OPTICAL ELEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an anisotropic film having a high dichroic ratio with high productivity.

SOLUTION: The method for producing the anisotropic film containing an anisotropic material comprises a step of keeping the anisotropic film in a vapor atmosphere of a solvent for dissolving at least one of materials constituting the anisotropic film. The vapor partial pressure of the solvent in the vapor atmosphere is ≥50% of the saturated vapor pressure of the solvent. The anisotropic film obtained by this producing method, a polarizing element having the anisotropic film and an optical element having the anisotropic film are also provided.
