PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolytic capacitor which is further miniaturized compared to a conventional capacitor. SOLUTION: This electrolytic capacitor contains the electrolyte containing a salt containing dicyanamide as anion and 20-80 wt.% sulfolane, in a capacitor element provided with an electrode material formed so that a valve metal particle layer having an oxide coating is formed on the surface of a base material with a pore rate 20-60% and a specific surface area of 20×10<SP>3</SP>-400×10<SP>3</SP>cm<SP>2</SP>/cm<SP>3</SP>, the valve metal particles are mixed at a predetermined distribution in a range of a particle size of at least 0.005-0.1μm, or particles of a size≥0.2μm are included.
