PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grease for a high-speed rolling bearing, which is capable of sufficiently adapting to high-speed rotation with a dmN value of≥1,700,000 and enables downsizing of machine tools and reduction of running costs, and a rolling bearing for a spindle. SOLUTION: The grease comprises a base oil and≥15 wt.% urea-based thickener based on the total weight of the grease. The base oil has a kinematic viscosity at 40°C of 15-30 mm<SP>2</SP>/sec. The urea-based thickener is obtained by reacting a polyisocyanate component with a monoamine component, provided that the monoamine component is the one containing 50-80 mol% aromatic monoamines based on the total amount of monoamines. The rolling bearing 1 for a spindle is equipped with an inner ring 2, an outer ring 3, a plurality of rolling elements 4 located between the inner ring 2 and the outer ring 3 and a seal component 6, provided that the grease is applied around the rolling elements 4.
