PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio apparatus and a howling suppression method applied to an electric-sound conversion and reproduction apparatus which suppresses generation of signal oscillation even if an amplification g(dB) of a signal is larger than an attenuation L(dB) of a feedback loop. SOLUTION: The audio apparatus comprises a sound input part 1 for converting a sound signal to an electric signal, an AD converting part 2 for converting the input signal to a digital signal, a signal processing part 3 for processing the digital signal, a DA converting part 4 for converting the digital signal to an analog signal, a signal amplifying part 5 for amplifying the analog signal, and a sound output part 6 for outputting the amplified signal as a sound signal.
