摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain both high sensitivity and high resolution by preventing the deterioration of the resolution due to pixel addition. SOLUTION: A group (a group A) is made of totally four pixels (2 pixels×2 pixels) which are horizontally and vertically adjacent and composed of the first pixel (C1) in upper left, having the first spectroscopic characteristic, the second pixel (C2) in upper right, having the second spectroscopic characteristic, the third pixel (C3) in lower left, having the third spectroscopic characteristic, and the fourth pixel (C4) in lower right, having the fourth spectroscopic characteristic. A color solid-state imaging apparatus includes a pixel part, which is formed by horizontally and vertically arraying the groups in a matrix shape, adds the pixel signals of the respective pixels with the totally 16 pixels (2 groups×2 groups), which are horizontally and vertically adjacent, as an additional unit, and reads the signals.
