PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous dispersion composition hardly causing reduction in coated film durability and coated film appearance while imparting chipping resistance to a coated film comprising a coating composition containing the composition when added to the coating composition, to provide a method for producing the composition, and to provide the coating composition containing the aqueous dispersion. SOLUTION: The aqueous dispersion composition is free from a non-conjugated polyene component, and contains (A) an ethylene-α-olefin random copolymer having 30,000-140,000 mass-average molecular weight, (B) an acid-modified polyethylene, at least one kind of (C) an anionic emulsifier and (D) an organic acid becoming the anionic emulsifier by being neutralized, and water.
