PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque detector capable of inhibiting magnetic flux from flowing to a magnetic shield from a magnetic flux concentration ring and an electric power steering device equipped with same.SOLUTION: A torque detector 20 includes: a holder 50 having a side wall 51 and an upper through hole 55 penetrating through an inner peripheral surface 51X and an outer peripheral surface 51Y of the side wall 51; a first magnetic flux concentration ring 41 held at the inner peripheral surface 51X of the side wall 51 and covering the upper through hole 55; a magnetic shield 60 held at the outer peripheral surface 51Y of the side wall 51 and covering the upper through hole 55; and a sensor housing 31 covering the holder 50 and the magnetic shield 60 from outside. The magnetic shield 60 has a recess portion 61 at which an inner peripheral surface 60X is depressed in a direction opposite to the upper through hole 55 at a portion countering the upper through hole 55. |
